What makes our Veggie Mix different?
Unlike many garden soils made from excavated topsoil mixed with manure, our Veggie Mix is an engineered soil blend created specifically for raised beds and vegetable gardens. Rather than relying on native soils, which can vary widely in quality, structure, and nutrient content, we build this mix using carefully selected ingredients that provide consistent performance and high levels of organic matter.
Our blend includes sphagnum peat, fine aged mulch, organic manure sourced from local organic farms, and clean washed river sand. Together these ingredients create a well-balanced soil that supports strong root development and healthy plant growth. The mix is designed to balance organic matter, drainage, and moisture retention so plants can access water and nutrients more easily throughout the growing season.
Because sphagnum peat and aged mulch are natural sources of organic matter, the mix will contain small wood fibers. These are a normal part of the materials and are small enough to pass through our ¾” screening process. They will continue to break down naturally in the soil over time, contributing to long-term soil health and fertility.

Compost Planting Mix
Ideal Use: Ornamental Planting Beds
Specifically blended as a planting bed media making it ideal for use in planting shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals. Blended from high-quality local organic compost that is rich and dark in color. A combination of organic matter and sand ensures that optimum drainage, nutrient requirements and moisture retention are maintained.
Analysis ensures this product meets or exceeds the BCLNA standard.

Our Plant-Based Planter mix is plant-based blend, formulated for planting shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals.
This mix is light, fluffy and easy to work with. Blended from quality weed-free compost this soil is rich and dark. A combination of organic matter, sand and mulch ensures that optimum drainage, nutrient requirements and moisture retention are maintained. Suitable for use with our slinger and blower trucks.

Our Plant-Based Planter is a high quality, complete soil blend, using only the cleanest municipal collections compost available, we do not add any native topsoils or other wood-waste products. This soil is a great choice for those that do not want to work with manure-based composts.

Bio-Planter Mix
Ideal Use: Commercial Planting Beds & Riparian Areas
Our Bio-Planter mix is a bio-solids based blend, ideal for use in planting shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals.
Bio-Planter is our most economical, environmentally-friendly option for large-scale residential or commercial ornamental planting projects. A blend of premium aged bark, Class A organics, and clean, free-draining river sand, this blend is nutrient dense and provides a stable base for new installations, and ideal for riparian planting areas and non-irrigated areas due to its natural water-holding capacity.
This soil blend meets the Canadian Landscape Standard 2P standards for planting areas.
